Like I’ve been saying, 2020 was an interesting year and I’ve been taking it all in. I’ve seen the best and the worst that humanity’s got to offer, in this one year. I’d like to share with you my pick’s for 2020’s best and worst.

In 2020, I spent a lot of time on Twitter. Not because of that guy who never stops tweeting dangerous things, and Twitter won’t close down his account, no I initially joined Twitter to be apart of #TeamPete online, in support of this guy @PeteButtigieg in the Democratic Presidential Primaries in 2019.

My other favorite Tweeps of 2020 are (the resisters):
Happiest Day of 2020:

November 7th, 2020 – When Joe Biden was officially projected the winner of the 2020 Presidential Election by most news media. People celebrated, danced in the streets, fireworks in London, church bells toll in Paris. N.B- Turns out, after a little bit research I just learned that the fireworks and church bells were actually in celebration of Guy Fawkes day.

While I may be the first woman in this office, I will not be the last.

Kamala Harris
Worst Day of 2020:

February 5th, 2020- Donald Trump was acquitted by the Senate in First Impeachment.

Favorite Pacs and Organizations that helped defeat Donald Trump in 2020 Elections:
My Most Admired Politician-
Transportation Secretary-Elect (Mayor) Pete Buttigieg

I first saw Mayor Pete on the View, when he announced he was launching an exploratory committee to run for President. I remember Joy Behar asking him if the country was ready for its first gay president, and his answer, simply said, stuck with me, and inspired me to follow him wherever he went, so I could listen to whatever he had to say, whenever he spoke. His answer to Joy’s question was “there’s only one way to find out.” I thought he sounded so humble, so refreshingly honest, and very intelligent in that interview, and he has been consistently so, from my perspective, ever since.

Will You Shut-Up Man?”

Joe Biden

Disappointments-That Lindsay Graham, Suzzane Collins, Mitch Mcconell and more like them were reelected.

Fears: Trump would Win the 2020 Elections

Things I am glad and thankful they happened:
  • Joe Biden won the 2020 Election (gives me hope for the future)
  • Joe Biden choosing Kamala Harris to be his running mate
  • Michael Cohen was released from jail (I think he deserves a second chance)

My saddest day- March 1st, 2020- When Pete dropped out of the Primaries, being the first to clear the path for Joe Biden to go on to win the nomination. (N.B- It broke my heart then, now I see it was the right thing to do, and I admire Pete even more for it)

Things I didn’t See Coming- Coronavirus/ The Lockdowns

The Thing that Happened that I Really Hoped Wouldn’t but Believe it is for Reason: Ruth Bader Ginsburg dying (September 18, 2020-Pancreatic cancer) before Joe Biden is inaugurated. And the Republicans rushing through a new Supreme Court pick.
